How a Newly Launched Finance Firm Found a Turnkey Office Space at Firmspace Houston

He and his partners founded the firm in April 2020 at the height of COVID-19 lockdowns. Several months later, they began looking for a space where they could meet safely in-person to prepare for the official launch in October.

When he and his partners set out to find an office in fall 2020, they had two main criteria: 

  • A flexible lease for a growing headcount. The Wincoram team had already grown from five to 12 employees since its initial founding, so a lease that could be expanded year-to-year was a must.

  • A polished space to host guests. Wincoram has a joint venture partner in New York, so they needed a sleek and secure setting for video calls and in-person meetings with clients in the future.

They were familiar with the coworking model and figured a shared space made the most sense for a small team at first. But after touring several coworking offices, Jason and his partners felt they were too casual and laid-back for the firm’s employees and clientele.
